Andrew Altschul practiced labor and employment law at two of the country's largest law firms for almost a decade before opening his own employment law boutique in 2004. He is the current Chair of the Oregon State Bar Board of Bar Examiners and has significant responsibilities for the design and grading of the Oregon Bar Examination. Andrew has substantial experience representing both employers and employees in all aspects of employment disputes. He also provides day-to-day counseling on labor and employment issues, collective bargaining representation, and alternative dispute resolution services. Andrew has one of the premier ERISA benefits practices on the West Coast and has litigated ERISA actions throughout California, Oregon and Washington. Andrew's practice also includes mediation and arbitration services. Andrew is a member of the Oregon, Washington and California bars and has handled ERISA, employment litigation, and labor and employment counseling throughout the West. Andrew recently received the second highest rating from the Portland Business Journal in the category of best employment lawyer in Portland. He is a frequent speaker at national and local employment law forums including the American Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section. Andrew has also received Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from SHRM.

Andrew received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School (J.D. cum laude, 1995.) He received his undergraduate degree from Grinnell College. (B.A. 1992)
